Hi Families,

Thank you to all who were able to come out to the Carnival on Friday evening. The weather was perfect and the kids had a great time. We couldn’t have done it without those parents who volunteered their time to set up,run games and help with clean-up.If you helped,be sure and keep track of the time you volunteered.  We would love to hear your feedback on the carnival and any ideas you may have for next year.

This week we are continuing our Fall learning and will be doing some activities with pumpkins as we get ready for the trip to BiZi farms next week. The Letter sharing sacks were a big hit last week so we will be doing them again this week. Remember to help your Busy Bee pick out something that will fit in the bag that starts with the letter on it. They will tell about it at circle time and we will add the word to the wordwall. 

Directions to the Bizi Farms fieldtrip are out by the sign in sheet. The Morning classes will go at 10:30 am on Thurs and Friday Oct 17/18. The Afternoon class will go on Thursday Oct 17 at 1:30. Please plan on meeting 10-15 mins before our time so we can all go in together.The school pays for your child’s fieldtrip. We are asking that each Laps student have only one adult joining them and if any siblings over 1 year old are coming, that they pay $5 for the fieldtrip at the farm on the day of the trip. We go rain or shine so plan on boots,raincoats if it’s rainy and layers if its cold. Let me know if you have questions about this event.

The T-shirts are purchased and ready for tying and dying. If this is something that you have done before or would like to help out with , let me know. This would count towards your volunteer hours and would need to get done this week.

We have had several Busy Bees out with colds and a fever in the last few weeks. Please keep your child at home if they are not feeling up to joining in the classroom activities, have a fever,runny nose that is yucky looking or a cough that is constant. We really want to keep everyone healthy and need your help to make that happen. I know that know one wants to miss out on a school day, but school is hard when you aren’t feeling well. Please send me a quick email or text if your child will be out for the day. Also, we would love some volunteers to clean/disinfect some toys each week. Even just a half an hour would get some cleaning done and count towards your hours.

The Busy Bee class goes outside every day unless it is raining. We also have the early playtime , so it can still be chilly in the AM when we go out. Please consider this when dressing kids and sending them in appropriate shoes/coats. We want everyone to be comfortable outside so they can make good use of the time to burn off energy and get some exercise.

Our sweet little Lulu could use some parsley and a few fruits or veggies. Also she needs a new bag of bedding. The bedding can be purchased from a feed/farm store and comes in a large bag for around $6. Let me know if either of these things would be something you would like to donate to our classroom.

We are planning our Halloween party for Thursday the 31st of October for the morning class and the afternoon class. THere will be a sign up sheet out to send a goodie for our party. The kids can come to school dressed in costume on this day. Please keep in mind we would like non-scary costumes and no weapons at school.

Parent/Teacher conferences are coming up next month on November 7th. Watch for a sign up sheet for a time that works for your schedule. There will be no class on this day. Also ,I will be sending home a conference questions sheet for you to jot down concerns or questions about your child we can discuss during our conference time that you send back to school before hand.

There’s lots to take in this week, so be sure and let me know if you have any questions, concerns or comments. Please always know that I want to hear from you about your child, we are so thankful for the great families here at our school.
