Busy Bee Newsletter For Oct. 6-10

Hi Families,
*Last week-We had a bunch of Fall fun! Hopefully we have learned what the months seasons are called, what things happen in Fall and what colors we see in the fall. We also had some fun on a Fall walk and bouncing in the bouncy house on Friday.
*Carnival: Thank you! Thanks to all who came out to the carnival and helped support our school by volunteering time or bringing your family along for the fun.
*This week-We are going to talk about the Farm ,Apples and pumpkins as we get ready for our trip to the pumpkin patch in a few weeks. We will be doing some apple tasting, graphing our favorite farm animal and having some fun with apple and pumpkin art activities.
*Picture Day:   We will be doing individual and classroom pictures this Tuesday on Oct 7th. @ 10:15. Picture packets were put in cubbies last week and need to be returned on picture day. The photographer is a former LAPSK family and is giving our school a percentage of the sales back to us, so please consider buying a few photos for grandparents, family and friends. We will have non-messy activities this day , so you can send kids in nicer clothes.
*Pumpkin patch: Our school will be going to the pumpkin patch on Thursday and Friday Oct. 16/17. Children enrolled at LASPK will be paid for and need to have transportation and supervision provided by a parent(s). If siblings would like to join in the fun they may pay $5 to get a pumpkin too. Anyone along for just the fun does not need to pay (no pumpkin). We go rain or shine and meet at the farm. Check out the link and see this venue that is new to our school this year.http://www.vancouverpumpkinpatch.com/
*Classroom Volunteering: Now that we have been in school almost a month, most kids have settled in. If you would like to volunteer in class and come see what your Busy Bee is doing, we would love to have you. I usually have some easy task that needs done, repairing books or prepping for upcoming activities. Your time in class is very helpful and you get a chance to see what our day is like and how your child is interacting. There is a sign up sheet in the hallway for dates/times. Thanks in advance for your support.
*Contact info: Please feel free to contact me if you have questions or concerns. I am fine with a text or a call or you can email. I am here to help you and your child have a great school year and feel honored that you have chosen us for your family’s preschool experience.
